Owning and operating a really fun retail store for girls was something I always wanted to do. Finally, this dream became a reality for me when ShopGirlUSA.com was launched on April 1, 2008. It has truly been an amazing challenge and an enriching experience; to not only share my love of children's clothes, but to have reached so many people in such a short amount of time.

As you all may know, our classmate, Emily Cohen, was recently diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. When I heard about this, I asked myself "what can I do to help?" I knew I had a way that could make a difference and was willing to support Emily and The Cohen Family.

When I started Shop Girl USA last summer, I created a character named Sharity Goodheart. She acts as a messenger to girls everywhere. Her motto at Shop Girl USA is:

"It Takes G.U.T.S to change the world." G.U.T.S=Girls United Together Strong "It Takes Girls United Together Strong To Change The World"

These words have never been more meaningful than right now. We all can make a difference in Emily's fight as well as others who have been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes.
